Smith graduated from the University of Alabama in 2006 with a major in Quantitative Finance and minor in Economics. He then attended the University of Alabama School of Law where he received his law degree in 2009.
Since graduating from law school, Smith has represented clients throughout Alabama in various types of litigation. He spent the first few years practicing with a firm in Mobile that primarily defends insurance companies. After learning the ins and outs of the insurance claims process, Smith gradually shifted to representing individuals and small businesses. He formed Prestwood Law Firm to focus his representation on individuals and small businesses in Baldwin County and Mobile County.
